Expectations
Honestly, I don’t think anyone had high expectations from Dondon this conference. He was pretty quiet for a while, and seemed to have settled into providing leadership and experience for his team. Maybe he was able to rest up (probably biding his time…) because it was a pleasant surprise for the Alaska fans when we saw Dondon perform as he did at his prime.
Positives
Dondon is a streak shooter who makes all the right plays, displaying his high basketball IQ. As a veteran of the team, he shows maturity since he does not care if he has limited minutes. During this conference he delighted Alaska fans by being an extremely reliable end game player.
Negatives
The only negative thing that I can think of about Dondon is that he can only play limited minutes since he is one of the older players, though I think he can still stick around for 3 more years in the league.
Grade: 10
He provided the outside shooting for Alaska this conference. Opposing teams had a hard time doubling Dozier, since teams didn’t want to leave him open. He provided experience for the team during the finals and remained composed all throughout.
